Ahoy Rotterdam and N200 renew 3-year agreement

N200, exclusive Ahoy partner since 2006, will remain responsible for visitor registration at all Ahoy trade fairs for the coming three years. The European market leader in visitor registration managed to pull in a renewed tender based on the ENTER registration system’s functionalities. The reliability and quality of the software, combined with a culture of innovation managed to convince the Rotterdam-based conference, fair and event centre yet again.

Gert-Jan van den Nieuwenhof, General Manager B to B at Ahoy expands on the choice for N200: “the ENTER application is of great value to our organisation. The central platform offers support in terms of branding and marketing and simplifies operations for our trade fairs. With ENTER, we can adapt registration and communication to any situation – a much-needed trait for a vast organisation such as Ahoy”.

Trade Show Leads and the Failure to Follow Up

The failure to follow up on a trade show lead has always mystified me. Exhibitors and attendees alike invest in a trade show. Attendees invest time and money in order to learn about products that will help them become more effective and efficient. Exhibitors invest time and money to…what? To “show the flag”? Some claim that is their only goal, but the vast majority of exhibitors participate in order to generate leads. Most accomplish this objective. But a lead that isn’t followed up is like the proverbial tree falling in the forest. If no one is present to hear it, does the falling tree make a sound? If no one follows up a lead, is it really a lead?

Here’s What Tradeshow Booth Staff Can Learn From Italian Street Vendors

Contrast the behavior of the sales people who do not follow up leads with that of the vendors in the marketplace in Florence, Italy. To them, a lead occurs when a browser visits their stall, handles the merchandise, asks a few questions…and attempts to move on.

“You don’t like that pocketbook, madam? Let me show you another that is even nicer. Today, for you, I will make a special price. Where are you from? America? I love America. What city? New York! Really? My cousin Rosa lives in New York. I gave her this very pocketbook. She luuuvvs it. You will, too. Here, put it on your shoulder. Take a look in the mirror. Beautiful!”

If you move on, as my wife was wont to do, the vendor is likely to hustle after you. “Madam, you look magnificent with this bag. You must have it! I will make a sacrifice and give it to you for 10 Euros less.” The usual outcome was that everyone walked away happy, my wife because she got a bargain, the vendor, because he got a sale and me, because the haggling was finally over. I was forever under the illusion that with this particular purchase, our shopping foray would come to and end. How naive of me.

N200 enters politics?

N200 has now really proved its versatility by winning a remarkable tender. After a lengthy process, involving several parties, the 2e Kamer der Staten-Generaal (The Netherlands’ House of Representatives) has decided to go with N200’s ENTER software for all its activities involving registration.

The tender process also involved a study on the possibility of developing a brand-new in-house registration system; yet N200 managed to beat even this option by demonstrating ENTER’s many functionalities. Obviously, the N200 team is very excited. Bart van Bijnen, owner of N200 explains: “Of course it is an unusual new client for us, but the basics remain the same. It just goes to show that our solid, user-friendly and innovative software works for all sorts of organisations. What can I say; ENTER is just nifty!”

N200 teams up with Design District

The Netherlands’ prime trade fair on interior design, Design District (formerly 100% Design) has once again teamed up with N200 for its upcoming edition. Both registration and ticketing will be managed by N200’s ENTER software.

Design District is the leading event for interior design in the Netherlands. The past 10 years, the event took place in Rotterdam under the name 100% Design. Seven years ago, the fair swapped its initial location, the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam, for the Van Nelle Design Factory. The upcoming edition will take place on June 7, 8 and 9 at Taets in Zaandam (approximately 8 kms from Amsterdam Central Station), where visitors will get a chance to explore 6,000 m² filled with the latest in interior design.

Start your week in a creative way

Engage your exhibitors

Exhibitors who feel they get ROI are happy exhibitors with a good impression of your event – returning customers in other words. Make sure you do everything you can in order to increase their return on investment, for instance by using N200 – thus enabling them to generate leads and visitor details easily and accurately.
